Meditation Circle: Sundays 9:15-9:45 AM Room 209

Sunday Services: 10:00 AM

The Sunday morning service at Sangha is truly a richly textured Celebration of Life with its most prominent qualities manifesting Joy, Aliveness, Beauty, Love, Wisdom, and Clarity. Each Sunday service revolves around a particular theme which is carried forth in the morning talk, the performances of the guest artists, the congregational songs, affirmative reading, and the centering meditation. Guest artists are powerfully on-target with lyrics that inspire and deepen our understanding of the principles of Science of Mind in jazzy, bluesy, gutsy, rockin’ modes that get the congregation involved and thinking at the same time.

At the end of the service, the members of the Youth Church come up the aisle from the back of the sanctuary to the music of “We are Family” as we welcome them with cheering and rowdy applause. The elementary, preteens, teens, and sometimes even the preschoolers, then share from the platform what they learned that morning in their individual youth groups.

The strong sense of community and togetherness that is felt during the service itself is perpetuated by the many Fellowship events that continue following the service, such as potlucks, volunteer nation luncheons, hospitality hour in the Gathering Place with coffee, tea, and bagels, and visioning sessions.

The two words that best convey the sense of a Sunday Service at Sangha are “Celebration” and “Community.”
We honor all spiritual paths and welcome all to this Sangha, this spiritual community!

The continual growth in the number of children and youth here at our Sangha Youth and Family program is outpaced only by the joy in their parents’ hearts as they enjoy the way their children are learning how to love the Spirit of the qualities of God in all people. Our youth chorus and band, Sunday School classes, field trips, and winter & summer camps all provide opportunities for the principles taught here at Sangha to be “on-the-job-training” for self-esteem, personal responsibility, and the power to develop healthy relationships for youth from all walks of life, religious beliefs, and backgrounds. more...

Meets in the Sanctuary on Love Offering Basis

Wednesday Evenings at Sangha offer a medley of meditative services, presentations, workshops, films, book studies, and classes. The one feature shared by this rather wide variety of formats is meditation—either as sustained silence, guided visualization, insight questing, contemplation, spiritual mind treatment, or sacred prayers from various wisdom traditions. The mood of the Wednesday evening service is usually more quiet and gentle than that of the Sunday Morning Celebration. Candles glow in the dimly lit sanctuary as people arrive while soft instrumental music fills the hushed atmosphere of the room. Gradually, as the opening meditation draws to a close, the sanctuary lights are brightened and the focus of the evening begins.

Peppered throughout these offerings are practical experiential exercises, guided inner work, meditation, sharing, readings, and lecture-discussion. The size of the group is usually smaller than Sunday morning, ranging from 20 – 50 on any given evening. The style is casual and personal. If variety is for you, you’ll love Wednesday Evenings at Sangha!
